• The AASMC partnered with the Armenian National Paralympic Committee to provide health care services to the Armenian National Team at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. AASMC founder and chief executive officer Nicholas Tavoukjian served as the team’s athletic trainer and covid liaison officer in Tokyo, Japan. This was the first time an Armenian National Team utilized the services of a certified athletic trainer during an international competition, marking a significant milestone in the AASMC’s advocacy work to advance the impact of sports medicine professions in Armenia.
