Nareg Ashekian is a Certified Athletic Trainer with a master’s degree in Athletic Training from California Baptist University. He also holds certifications as a corrective exercise specialist & certified ergonomic specialist, with extensive experience working in sports medicine departments at the professional level. Mr. Ashekian leads AASMC’s outreach committee, which works on projects to increase the value of education and practice of sports medicine within local schools and athletic organizations to students, athletes, and coaches. In 2019, he participated in AASMC’s mission trip to Armenia, presenting to sports medicine providers on the topic of concussion management. Outside of his role as an injury prevention specialist, Mr. Ashekian works with several professional athletes providing manual therapy and mobility routines as they prepare for their athletic competitions.
