The Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Fellowship (IRF) for Armenia and Artsakh was developed in response to the 2020 Artsakh War to sustainably scale up rehabilitation within Armenia and Artsakh’s health systems. The IRF is a joint venture between the AASMC, Therapists for Armenia, Polaris EduCorp, Health Network for Armenia (HENAR), and the National Institute of Health of Armenia. The IRF is designed to advance clinical and higher education competencies among the region’s existing rehabilitation leadership to expand service delivery, advance multidisciplinary care models, and improve rehabilitation education for physicians and allied health professionals. This diaspora-led initiative is set to pilot in October of 2022.
